Sourdough Questions

What makes Sourdough bread different from regular bread?

Sourdough is naturally fermented using a wild yeast starter instead of commercial yeast. This slow fermentation helps develop deeper flavor and can make the bread easier to digest.

Will Sourdough taste very tangy?

Not necessarily. Many of our baked goods, like cookies and brownies, use sourdough starter but do not taste tangy—the starter simply enhances texture and flavor.

What is your Sourdough starter

Our baked goodies are made with a naturally fermented sourdough starter lovingly named “Dough Boy”, which is carefully maintained to create consistent, flavorful bakes.

Ingredients & Quality

What ingredients do you use?

We focus on simple, high-quality ingredients like flour, water, salt, butter, and natural fermentation, no unnecessary additives or preservatives.

Do you use preservatives?

No. Because our bread is naturally fermented and freshly baked, we rely on traditional methods rather than preservatives.

Storage & Freshness

How should I store my sourdough bread?

Store your loaf cut side down on a cutting board or in a bread bag at room temperature for the best texture.

Can sourdough bread be frozen?

Yes! Slice the loaf first, then freeze it in an airtight bag. You can toast slices straight from the freezer.

How long will my bread stay fresh?

Sourdough typically stays fresh 3-5 days at room temperature, though it can remain edible for up to a week if stored properly. You can also freeze your sourdough to keep longer.

Custom Orders

Do you offer special or custom orders?

Yes! If you’re looking for something specific or ordering for a special event, feel free to reach out through the website.

Do you bake for events or gatherings?

Absolutely. Sourdough loaves, cookies, brownies, and other baked goods can be prepared for small gatherings or special occasions.
