How to Store Baked Goods...

Keeping Your Sourdough Fresh.

Fresh sourdough is best enjoyed the day you bring it home, but with the right storage it can stay delicious for days!

Room Temperature Storage
Store your sourdough in a beeswax bread bag, paper bag, bread box, or loosely sealed plastic bag at room temperature for up to 3-5 days. This helps protect the crust while keeping the inside soft.

Avoid the Refrigerator
It may seem like a good idea, but refrigerating sourdough actually makes it go stale faster. For the best texture and flavor, keep it at room temperature instead.

Freezing for Later
If you don’t plan to finish your loaf within a few days, slice it first and freeze it in an airtight bag or container. Slicing before freezing makes it easy to grab just what you need.

Reheating Tips

  • Toast slices straight from frozen for a quick, warm treat

  • Or warm slices or a partial loaf in the oven at 350°F for 5–10 minutes to bring back that fresh-baked texture

  • Toast anytime for a warm, delicious sourdough experience

Enjoy every last crumb! 🥖
